COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT  

Amakhosi provides work to our communities which helps us to pay school fees.

The lodge takes the youngsters on outings in the reserve to help them understand the importance of nature and to encourage them to look after it. Amakhosi is also sponsoring the best young student to enroll him in a Ranger Guide Course. Myself, I started as a dancer at Amakhosi, became one of their gardeners and I am now a full-time tracker. If something needs to be done, the lodge will first seek collaboration with us, before looking at other options.

Supporting Local Business
Where possible, the lodge supports local black businesses. All our staff's uniforms are designed and made by a local tailor and for lodge upgrades we work with local building and thatching contractors.
